Hello! I'm Autumn, the creative force behind these black and white portraits that have become my artistic signature. My journey as an artist began as soon as I could wrap my hands around the right tools. I'd say I started 'taking it seriously' around 2016, back in 7th grade. What began as a creative outlet quickly became a consuming passion—one of the main sources of joy and solace, especially during tough times.
My family has been my rock throughout this artistic journey, always supportive and instrumental in kickstarting my path. They supplied and gifted me with art materials before I could get my own, which truly jumpstarted my career. Once I could do it on my own, things really took off.
Opening my website and store isn't just about selling pieces; it's about sharing a part of my life with you. It's an ode to the joy, challenges, and growth that art has brought into my life. By doing so, I'm hoping to make art an even more significant part of my journey and connect with you through my ever-growing gallery. Thank you for being a part of this adventure! 🖤
Step into the core of my creative process, where every stroke on a stretched black canvas is a dance of expression. My "tool kit" consists of stretched black canvas, white colored pencil, and occasionally a chalk pastel and/or gel pen. With this slightly unconventional pairing, I'm able to get my desired amount of realism mixed with the slight grain/grunge effect from the texture of the canvas. But the magic doesn't end there; each artwork is coated and finished with a protective layer of spray enamel and Gel Gesso, sealing in every element, ensuring a lasting finish, and adding a more sleek touch. I love that I'm able to take things you don't traditionally see used together and make so many pieces with a niche that I've become known for.
At the core of my artistic journey are the people who've been my constant cheerleaders—my family, including my grandpa, mom, grandma, aunt, best friends, and my awesome fiancé. Their support has been my driving force, pushing me to explore my creativity. Another huge influence is pop culture, especially the spooky vibes of horror and the captivating stories found in comics. Music is a big player in my creative process; I always have music playing while I draw, setting the mood for each specific piece, be it a chilling horror scene or a tribute to a musician. Music is one of the main reasons I found myself pursuing my art dreams. A lot of the bands I'm a super fan of are so supportive of dreams and reaching goals that they inspired me to go for a non-traditional career path. Nature is a massive inspiration too, bringing a touch of organic magic into my work.
In my art, you'll see echoes of these inspirations—musicians, iconic characters, famous faces, the thrill of horror, slightly abstract ideas, and the delicate beauty of flowers and nature. It's a visual journey that reflects the influences of my family, the pulse of pop culture, the rhythms of music, and the wonders of nature. Each piece is a nod to this vibrant mix that fuels my creativity and drives me to share these inspired pieces with the world.

Sometimes you may need or want to support me in a way other than buying a piece or getting a commission. Ko-Fi is a great way to do that while staying in your own set budget.
